Implant Surgery and Implant Applications
Implant Treatment
Implants are artificial tooth roots placed in the jawbone to restore the function and aesthetics of missing teeth. The implant completely changes the tooth and jaw structure.
It can be applied in the elimination of a single missing tooth without touching the adjacent healthy teeth, in the elimination of more than one missing tooth by making fixed bridges with the help of implants instead of removable prostheses, in making fixed prostheses instead of removable prostheses (palate) in case of complete edentulism, in eliminating all kinds of edentulism and missing functions.
Physiological bone resorption as a result of tooth loss or trauma causes a decrease in the level and volume of the jawbone.
This situation prevents the prosthesis to be applied to fully fulfill its function. As a result, problems in chewing and speaking are inevitable.
Implants are a safe option to permanently replace missing teeth. Dental implants can also prevent oral health problems such as tooth replacement while preserving bone structure.
Sinus Lifting Operation
The cavities that have functions such as reducing our skull weight and making sounds properly are called sinuses. Some of the sinuses are located close to our teeth. Generally, when we lose our maxillary teeth and the necessary prostheses are not made, the space between the sinus wall and the crepe top decreases. And therefore, there is not enough bone left for the implant to be made in this area. The operation of raising the sinus floor in order to increase the amount of decreased bone is also called sinus lifting operation.
